Inaugural Scholarship Gala

Greetings!

The Northern California Historically Black College and University Alumni Associations Coalition (HBCUC) is a 501(c)3 organization consisting of alumni members of HBCU/UNCF institutions local and national businesses who are located in Northern California. The HBCUC membership is THE premier source of information regarding these institutions of higher education. Our mission is to provide scholarships to local students who have been accepted into one of 105 historically black colleges and universities in the United States.

On Saturday, January 26, 2019, the HBCUC will host its first Inaugural Scholarship Gala Renewing Our Commitment to Scholarship and Education. This event will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Francisco Airport, Burlingame, California. Proceeds from this event will be used to support our scholarship program. I invite you to take advantage of this exceptional advertising and promotional opportunity as a sponsorship participant this year. Expose your business/organization to internal and external advertising, reaching thousands of people through the HBCUC website, social media sites and direct mail; plus, coverage in the alumni publications of participating HBCUs. This highly publicized signature event provides a meaningful investment for sponsorship participants. We are expecting 200 participants to attend this year from government officials, HBCU graduates, current and future students. This event will reach many.

The HBCUC embraces its slogan, The Village – Coming Together For A Common Purpose Through Advancing The Cause Of Education. We are diligently working to make a positive impact and gladly welcome assistance in providing college materials, scholarship information and providing hope for the Bay Area students that we serve and support. We need your help to continue the legacy of these great institutions by ensuring students continue to matriculate at HBCUs and are exposed to all they have to offer prior to selecting a college to attend.

Below you will find the details of all your sponsorship benefits and other particulars pertaining to this awesome event.  My team will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Please contact Eleise Richards, Gala Coordinator at eleise.richards@gmail.com or Kyla Conley, Gala Co-Coordinator at kylacon@gmail.com, or at admin@northerncaliforniahbcuc.org for additional questions.

I look forward to working with you on the Inaugural Scholarship Gala. Your financial support will help us reach our fundraising goals.  I am counting on your support.

Sincerely,

Phyllis J. White, President, Northern California HBCU Alumni Associations Coalition (HBCUC)
